Over at one of the blogs at Northwestern (Northwestern.edu), there’s a really insightful entry about how Hip-Hop offers a creative outlet to young people.

Gasp!

As if you didn’t know…

Not only hip hop, any form of self-expression, be it dance, music, painting, writing, their primary job is to act as a creative outlet. And I reckon even my 3 year old nephew knows that when he’s out finger-painting. So please, why does Northwestern’s aforementioned blog (here) have to treat it as the second greatest discovery after evolution?

As I said, leave it to the academecians…
